This is one of the tourist attraction points. In 1830 Dr. Murray discovered this
point and named it after the then Governor of Bombay, Sir Mount Elphiston. From this point,
the view of many hill ranges descending into Konkan, broken slopes, lush vegetation, and
forest at the foothills gives a pleasant experience. Pratapgarh is visible from this point.
