Description

Chaphal is a village located on the banks of river Uttarmand at a distance of 13 km from Umbraj village in a very peaceful and scenic place. The village got its name because of the Shriram temple built by Samarth Ramdas. In 1647 AD, Ramdas built this Shriram temple.

The temple was destroyed in the 1967 earthquake. Meanwhile, Mumbai businessman Arvind Mafatlal restored the temple.
