Description


The temple here is of Chalukya style and has a sanctum sanctorum, space and hall architecture. The temple has a grand entrance and there is a nagarkhana. There is a Nandi in the center of the temple hall and a typical style lamp in the courtyard. There are 18 solid stone pillars in the space, and the entrance to the sanctum sanctorum is covered with a brass sheet. There is a Shivlinga in the core, and on this Shivlinga is a silver eleven-pointed abhishekapatra weighing three kilos. When the eleven streams fall on the Shivlinga, it makes a sound like a whistle. It is called Sinhanad.

Around the temple there are temples of Ganapati, Lakshmi Vitthal-Rukmini. The stone built well next to it is called Siddhatirtha. The temple is fully fortified and has sculptures on its sides. Ram Mandir and mausoleum of Yashwant Baba and Temple located here are also worth visiting. Kuroli can be reached from Satara via Vaduj. Also one can go through Rahimatpur, Chowki Amba.
