Description


Pirsaheb Rajebagsar Janata Dargah is located in the village of Khatgun on the right bank of Yerla River. Its building is Hemadpanti, with a Nagarkhana (The place in which are kept the drums and other instruments of a band.)at the entrance through it. The door of the dargah is carved, with two elephants carved on the left and right platforms of the door. On the back side of the dargah, figures of an elephant and a lion are carved. These Pira of sanctum sanctorum resemble the core of a Hindu temple, with temples of Vetel, Maisoba and Satwai inside. These Peeras are said to have been brought from Jayaramaswamy's Vadgaon by mother-in-law Manabai and daughter- in-law Tarabai. This Durga is their Samya. There is a lamp in the Dargya. The yatra starts here in March. This Peera is worshiped by Hindus according to Hindu practices and there is a large crowd here on every Thursdays.
